A well Known Jefferson Co. Citizen Residing near Charles Town
died late Saturday morning after a Short illness. He was 70 years old.

He was a widower and is survived by a son, Marshall Roper of
Brunswick Md. and three daughters. The deceased was a man of
unusual size, and was one of the heaviest men in the county.
