Marple, Eva Letitia {I0050} (b. 24 JUL 1885, d. 28 JUL 1917)
Note: With Peter's Obituary in the Winchester Evening Star it stated Eva Died Sunday a week before, that would make her death date August 12. 1917. Personal communication said she died 2 weeks before on the 28th of July 1917. I've search the Winchester Evening Star for her Obituary, finding none but did note it was extremely hot at the time of her death and on August 10, 1917 a Fierce storm marched through dropping hail that damaged the peach crop. Infant paralysis was a major concern along with tuberculosis, the disease that took Eva's life. World War I was in full swing calling for a Meatless Tuesday, Washington was out to conserve food for the war effort.

"Partriotism and neighborhood influance will be counted upon
to bring about an observance in private homes, it is hoped to
bring people to the point where they will be ashamed to eat
meat on the forbidden day."
