White Hall, Va.; Jan. 5. - At 5 o'clock this morning, Mrs. Catherine Fries, a highly respected and well known lady residing here, died after a comparative short illness of pneumonia. Mrs. Fries had only been ill a few days, but gradually grew weaker until this morning when her spirit passed to its reward. She is survived by seven children, viz: Hiram Fries, of White Hall; Mrs. Jane Swisher, of Winchester, Mrs. Sarah Clark, Mrs. Rachel Barrett, Mrs. Mary Dix, of the county; Mrs. Ella Hott, of Dayton, Va., and Mrs. Sudie Lynn.
The interment will take place at Old Stone Church, at Greenspring, next Sunday morning at 11 o'cllock, and Rev. S. D. Skelton, of Winchester, will probably officiate.
