Mrs. Martha H. Walters
Mrs. Martha Henretty Walters, wife
of Mr. George Walters, residing on
Bloomery pike, a mile south of town,
died at noon on Wednesday following
an illness of six hours. Arising early
Wednesday morning with the intention
of going to a neighbor's home to aid in
butchering, Mrs. Walters was striken
with appoplexy and became unconscious
in less than five minutes. Death followed
without her regaining consciousness.
Mrs. Walters was the only daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Henretty,
of the Zoar neighborhood, where she lived
until her marriage.
Two brothers besides her husband survive.
Towner Henretty, and Carter Henretty,
both of the county, are the surviving brothers.
Mrs. Walters funeral was held last Saturday
morning, services at the home at 10 o'clock,
and interment in Edge Hill Cemetery.
