DICK heirs
The case came on to be heard Thursday 5th day of February 1849 upon his papers formaly* ___ and was agreed by counsel and it appearing to the court that Henry Dick who was entitled to the sum of $31.62,1/2 from the land in the hands of Mr.____ ___ interest from the 22nd day of March 1822 until paid is dead and that William Dick has duly manifesto as his executor and that said William Dick has by power of attorney filed in this cause authorized William H. Moffett to Receive the alocationed* sum the Receiver of this court is hereby directed to colect* and pay over to the said William H. Offett* the final sum of $31.62.1/2 with interest from the 22nd day of March 1822 until paid.

Know all men by these present that I William Dick of the county of Jefferson in the State of Tennessee, Executor of the last will and testament of Henry Dick deceased formerly of the county and state aforesaid having full confidence in the ability and honesty of W.H. Moffett of Jefferson county in the state aforesaid have made constituted and appointed and by these present do make constitute & appoint the said W.H. Moffett my attorney in fact for me and in my name as executer as aforesaid to ask, demand sue & recover from the clerk of the county court of Frederick County Virginia the amount to which I am entitled of the estate of Mary Dick deceased my late mother, it being one eleventh part of the estate of the said Mary Dick decd[the precise amount not known]which shall have come into the hands of Peter Dick whose land was sold for the purpose of paying his debts and distributing among his heirs and the funds arising from which sale are now in the hands of the clerk and receiver of the County Court of Frederick county Virginia. And I do hereby authorize my said agent and attorney in fact to execute in my name as executor any writing, receipt, release or acquittance* and to do whatever else may be necessary in the premised to receive the money aforesaid and I hereby bind myself and my heirs & representatives to ratify and confirm whatever my said attorney may do in the premised. As Power of Attorney From William Dick Executor of Henry Dick Decd. To W. F. Moffett becoming (?) the 7th day of February 1848, Was presented in open court for acknowledgment and therefrom came William Dick the Executor above named Whose name appears thereto and with where I was personally acquainted and acknowledged the same to be his seal (?) (?) for the purpose therein contained. Which is (?) by the County Court in and for the County and State aforesaid do certify that the above is a true statement of the (?) of the court in the above matter.
