Funeral Rites for George T. Walters
George T. Walters, 57, son of
late Edward and Mary Kane Walters,
died last Thursday morning at his
home at Bloomery, east of Charles
Town. He had been a semi invalid
for three years but death came
suddenly while rocking a samll
grandson.
He was born and reared in the
Mechanicstown vicinity, and was
well known in Jefferson County as
a blacksmith.
Surviving are his wife, the former
Mrs. Carrie Oden, and one son,
George William, II at home; a sister,
Mrs. Fred Landers, Ranson; two brothers,
Charles A., Martinsburg; and Clarence N. ,
Rockville, MD.; four stepchildren---------
Mrs. Meveral Yontz, Martinsburg; Ralph
and Kenneth Oden, Charles Town; Gilbert Oden,
Jacksonvile, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday
morning at 10 in the Catholic Church n Charles
Town, with burial following in the Lutheran
Cemetery in Bolivar.

I Isaac Boahrer Senr. Of the County of Frederick State of Virginia make this my last will and testament - 1st I wish my Executers hereafter named to make Sale of all my personal property that I shall not despose of hereafter and pay a;; my just debts - 2nd I will to my two daughters Lucida and Mariah (to each) the choice of one cow, one bed & bedstead with the under bed and a full share of all the bedding not, less than four blankets four sheets & four quilty or coverlitts to each bed and to each a Spinning wheel (also I further give them three towels each & one table & four chains equally), and one drist to each of them and as they are living with one & may be disposed to keep House after my deseas- I further will them Six Plates Six knives & forks Six tea spoons Six table spoons four milk crocks three dishes & one Iron pot & oven & for them to take choise[sic] of two sheep to each of them - 3rd my will is for my executors to rent my lands for one year after my deseas. And the proceeds of the rents to be paid over to my two daughters equally above named Lucinda & Mariah and for them to retain the house & garden for the term of the one year and my wish is that my son Philip shall work the land for the term of one year and pay the proceeds to them as heretofore mentioned - by retaining the usual share himself for cultivating it - and in case he shall fail to do so then for Lucinda & Mariah to rent themselves for the term of one year - one year 4th my will is for my Executors after my deseas. To sell my land that I may have either at public sale, or privately as my Seans[?] to demand the best price and the proceeds of the Sale to be equally divided with the amount left of my personal property to all my children equally Adam Boahrer Peter Boahrer Joseph Boahrer Isaac Boahrer Philip Boahrer. Mary Ziler Elizabeth Stotler, Sarah Unger, Lucinda Boahrer & Maria Boahrer forever and Lastly I leave my son Philip Boahrer and Uriah Dick my Executors as witness my hand & Seal this 30th day of March 1848 and before Sealing this I have on reflection included to further give my two Daughters Lucinda and Mariah after my death for one years provisions Eight bushels of wheat twelve bushels of corn & four hundred lbs of Bacon or five hundred lbs of Pork & desire my Executers to pay them this amount as witness my hand & Seal as above

At a Court held for Frederick County the 4th day of March 1850 This last Will and Testament of Isaac Boahrer was proved by the Oaths of Thomas Dawson and William McIntire two of the Witnesses thereto and Ordered to be recorded and on the motion of Philip Boahrer one of the Executers therein named who made oath according to Law Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form On his giving Security Whereupon he together with Peter Boahrer Thomas Dawson William McIntire and Washington Unger his Securities entered into and acknowledged bond in the penalty of four Thousand dollars conditioned for his due and faithful administration of the said desedants[sic] Estate.
