Ambrose, James Keller {I3530} (b. 18 NOV 1880, d. 21 SEP 1958)

Note: OBITUARY:

AMBROSE, JAMES KELLER age 78 yrs. died at his home, 118 West High Street, Woodstock at 2 p. m. Monday September 21 after a lingering illness. The deceased was born November 18, 1880 in Luray, Page Co.,, the son of the late James K. & Mary Virginia Jobe Ambrose. He was married to Lottie Virginia Emerson who survives him, May 24, 1905. Mr. Ambrose moved to Shenandoah Co., in 1910. He was employed as janitor at the old Woodstock elementary grade school later at the high school & for many years at the Grabill Grading Plant. He was a member of the Woodstock Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 6 children: Mrs. Harold (Louise) Morrison of Woodstock, Billy I. Ambrose of Woodstock, Randolph M. Ambrose of Woodstock, Mrs. William (Ruth) Monk of Roanoke, James E. Ambrose of Roanoke, Mrs. Robert (Susie) Heishman of Woodbridge, Va. One half sister, Mrs. Ernest (Nellie) Ruby of Mt. Jackson. One half brother, Oscar Ambrose Greencastle, Pa. 10 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren. Interment in the Mt. Jackson Cemetery. (PNC issue 08 Oct 1959)
